Senegalse Twists

I decided to try and braid my hair in Senegalse Twists. It has been a learning experience to say the least. I must say though the one video I watched that helped me was by Breanna Rutter. I am still working on finishing them but they look pretty good for my first time. I will post a picture when I finish.

The next thing I need to do is mix up a moisturizing spray. I found a recipe on Pinterest that I think I will use.

The ingredients are as follows:
      Water
      Aloe vera juice
Nourishing oil (like castor and coconut)
      Leave-in Condition
      Essentials oils (tea tree, peppermint)

I am going to try this and see how it helps to keep my hair moisturized while in braids.

Here is a link to Breanna's video: http://youtu.be/ixIJr8AB5vg. It helped me. Until next time.

I've been bad

I have been really bad over this winter with taking care of my hair. I need to trim my ends because my hair doesn't have slip when I wash it and when I am doing what needs to be done it has knots at the ends. Sigh. Trying to do things the right way have been really tough but I know it needs to be done so that my hair will be healthy and have growth potential.

I am going to make it work one way or another.

Reddish Color

I finished my hair. The isn't as bright as I would like it but I know that is because my hair is really dark. It is a nice shade of red though. I did larger twist and curled the ends so when I take it my hair should have a combination look to it.
I just need to make sure I add moisture to it. I have to get back on the road to caring for my hair the right way.
